On family land in Honolulu, a homecoming for Bernadette. The ask does not move: the envelope a big Manila date would have carried, with Honolulu as the date, and every permit and lawyer costed inside it.
Bernadette San Pedro Bayot came to Hawaii from the Philippines and made her life in Honolulu as a singer and hula dancer. She and Peter Hernandez played Waikiki as The Love Notes. She died on 1 June 2013 of a brain aneurysm, aged 55.
The site is no longer a lease. Family land takes out the land rent, the venue landlord and the inherited curfew, and it removes the hardest approval in the original plan: finding a 30,000-capacity parcel somebody would let us use. What it does not remove is a county special-event permit, a traffic plan, sanitation, medical cover and insurance in the landowner's name.
US$4.00m for the artist and US$11.85m all-in, the number a big Manila date would have carried. Every operational line is carried across unchanged. Only the statutory layer is restated: no 12% final withholding VAT, no admission VAT, no amusement tax, no local business tax. In their place, Hawaii general excise tax at 4.5% of gross receipts.
| Envelope | USD |
|---|---|
| Talent & artist (incl. $4.00m buyout, support, travel, rooms, 3% contingency) | 5,400,290 |
| Production | 1,317,250 |
| Site & infrastructure (land at no rent) | 585,849 |
| Permitting, legal & consents (incl. 15% contingency) | 660,100 |
| Operations, marketing, overhead | 1,678,649 |
| Programme contingency, promoter fee, Hawaii GET | 885,128 |
| Modelled cost, Hawaii basis | 10,529,566 |
| Revenue (tickets 5.27m, sponsorship 1.73m, ancillary 0.34m) | 7,336,500 |
| Headroom left inside the $11.85m ask for the island premium | 1,320,434 |
| Net position | (3,193,066) |
The tax swap frees $1.43m inside the same envelope. Permitting and the island premium now come out of it, which is why the ask does not have to rise.
$574,000 across sixteen lines plus a 15% contingency. Affection for the landowner is not an approval.

Sequencing drives the calendar. Landowner agreement and family consent first, because nothing can be filed without them. Then the land-use opinion, the environmental assessment and the traffic study in parallel, then the special-event permit, then liquor, fire and structural close-out. Nine to twelve months before the first container ships, which is why the date is 2028.
| Venue | Capacity | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Aloha Stadium, Halawa | closed | Demolition site; the 2018 three-night run played here |
| New Aloha Stadium | 22,500 | Under construction, 2029 target |
| Blaisdell Center | 8,800 | His 2014 three-night run |
| Stan Sheriff Center | 10,300 | University of Hawaii arena |
| Waikiki Shell | 8,400 | Curfew-bound, residential neighbours |

He sold out three consecutive nights at Aloha Stadium in November 2018, the first artist ever to do so. In 2014 he sold out three Blaisdell shows, 26,400 seats, in two hours, and 42% of those buyers were on the US mainland.

| Total | $185 | 28,500 | $5.27m |
A single night runs a ($4.51m) deficit on the Manila basis and ($3.19m) on the Hawaii basis. Two nights nearly close it and a price premium finishes the job, which is why the recommendation is a homecoming run rather than a date.
Every $25 of average ticket price is worth about $0.7m. The price assumption is the first thing to test with the agency, before the fee.
All figures USD. Line items and totals are carried from the Manila budget of November 2026 so the two documents price against one another; the permitting and legal schedule is new, and only the statutory layer is restated for Hawaii.
